Jensens and Triumphs

I've been quiet for a bit, primarily because of Honey-Do's and a lot of work at the day job. So it goes. For the most part, in my spare time I've been fiddling with Mum's Triumph Spitfire. Still don't have it quite through emissions, but we're really close! Now it's a matter of just rebuilding the carburettor and the master cylinder. The former is worns and I can't get the idle mixture down enough, the latter is starting to lose pressure when you step on it at a light, and I don't want Mum losing the brakes while she's driving!

I did take the Triumph out for a drive today, took her home to go sit quietly in the garage while it awaits the rebuilt bits. I just don't have enough space in my garage to store her, so since she's not being driven, it's best to put her in Mum's garage. It's suc a hoot driving thse old cars. I don't care if I'm only going 50mph, it feels like 100mph when your butt is 4 inches off the ground.

Also, in the Jensen community there's been some discussion about parts interchange. as these cars get older, parts are harder to find. Having reputable interchange lists ensures that we can keep these relics on the road. To that end, I've built out an interchange database for the Jensen community. The Jensen Parts Interchange Database allows you to view parts interchanges for both the Jensen-HEaley and the JEnsen Interceptor. In addition, if you know of an Interchange, there's a form that will allow you to add it to the database!

Cheers!
